    Notes From The Desk

    As some of you already know, I’m currently working on the final edit of my debut novel, Tough Love. My book is a police procedural set in South East London.

    This has been a labour of love for a long time, and I can’t wait for it to be published. I expect the wordage to be 90,000+ so, as anyone who has written a book will know, it takes time and dedication to get everything right and the absolute best it can be, before you even think about publication.

    I’m very fortunate to be working on my project with Esther Chilton, a brilliant Editor and Proofreader, who offers the best advice and cares as much about my novel as I do.

    Esther suggested creating a timeline to get this book out there and published, and it’s the best advice I could have been given.

    I expect to have it ‘publication ready’ in Spring 2027 but will be posting regular updates.

        Thank you, Liz. You are so right. I would never be at this stage without the support of Esther and every fellow writer at the Writer’s Bureau. Everyone is so supportive and encouraging.

      Now you have the “finishing post” in sight, Lynn, I’m sure publication has become a real event to you, a red letter day on the calendar next spring.
      Everything in its proper time, but be sure we are looking forward to seeing “Tough Love” out on the shelves and going out into the world.
