What have you researched this week?
As writers, we generally need to spend a lot of time researching for various projects we’re working on at any given time. I actually like researching and this week I’ve been looking at different topics for this blog. I very much like history and I’ve been looking at ‘on this day…’ websites for notable events in history, so I can write about it for the blog.
Please share what you’ve been researching this week.

I’ve been researching under 11s girls rugby, slang words and names for different characters, to make sure they’re consistent with era/culture etc.
Hi Liz,
That sounds interesting. My cousin’s daughter has played girls rugby for years, and is now in the team for her university.
Oooh, I might pick your brain on that!
As everyone knows, there are weeks teeming with dense research, very absorbing and vitally important… and then there are weeks when the sails are slack, a sort of Research Doldrums if you like.
Well, this week has not seen much investigation, due to the Great Dishwasher Debacle. Whoever would have thought there were so many models, categories, designs, technical descriptions, prices and makes out there? No, I can’t think about it, It was a nightmare.
When I could tear my mind away from that question, I did check out the bombing of Guernica in the Basque Country in 1937, Picasso’s painting of the same name and the copy painted on a wall in this town as a giant mural. Letter to be published soon (I hope).
Sounds like a busy week, Susan.
I researched salamanders after reading a post on WordPress, including some legends they inspired.
